KG Bomber squadrons?

I'm just curious, although the Ju88 is vastly weak in the defensive gun armament, has anyone considered making a KG Luftwaffe squadron? It would be the first Luftwaffe dedicated bomber squadron and I'm pretty sure that it would play a very important role in the AvA, FSO, And MA along with the Luftwaffe only squadrons currently in AH.

Of course it's time for a KG squadron, but we'll need a more capable German bomber first, e.g. Do-217, Ju-188, or He-177.  Very few try to fly 1940 fighters in the lwma; why try the same with bombers?

No, they are a ground attack squad.  SG2 Immelman, I believe.

MJ, Ive started flying the 109E a bit so if you need a bit of cover then count me in. I fly with 71 sqaudron and im sure a few may be willing to give a bit of cover

It could be done with ju88s although if they ever add the HE111 we might start to see some axis bomber squadrons appear. I've had the idea in the back of my mind but it isn't too many pilot's who would be in a German  bomber squadron atm without the he111, do 17, He 177, etc.

The He-111 is not going to help; it's a worse bomber than the Ju-88 we have now.

Ability to carry 8x250kg bombs upright in it's bombbay. Bigger payload than the ju88? and better armament? I just finished reading about the He-111A-5 before i left my academy.

I like the plane and use it for killing cv's and towns. The guns are weak but i get plenty of kills defending with them. Some guy even said I was cheating once and was sending the film to HT. Guess he had never been killed by one yet. Those little bombs aren't so bad either. If i have time I'll take most of a town with a set of them and if not I'll scatter those little buggers all over making it real easy for one of my squad mates to gun any buildings that are left over.

8x250kg is only 2000kg.  Up to 2500kg could be carried using the external racks.  The Ju88 carries 3000kg, though admittedly 2/3 of that is external.  The defensive armament is marginally better on the He-111, but is still mostly comprised of 7.7mm weapons.  Lastly, the He-111 is significantly slower than the Ju-88.

Could possibly be wrong, I'm going to purchase those books my captain allowed me to use while i was on campus.  Anyhow may i ask how slow was the He111 compaired to the 88?

That depends on the exact variants, but in AH  you'd likely see a ~40mph TAS difference.
