I think that bombs DO need to do somemore damage instead of "Oh, you got it right on 'em, they're dead" I'd like to see a bomb 2 meters away slicing off it's pintle MG cause of shrapnel ripping throu...

Bomb can track you or kill your engine, you know?

I believe, we have HE bombs not fragmentation bombs, so not much heavy fragments produced (if any).

More complex damage model for GVs would be very nice though.

Back in the day you could drive your M3 (or any other vehicle) inside an enemy Tiger until the barrel of the gun was inside the tank. You could then shoot inside the tank and it would go boom. It was a hoot watching the fallout on 200 and it was kind of justified if the Tiger guy was zoned out enough to let an M3 sneak up on him in the first place.

Was a blast to watch the tanker swing the barrel around trying to line up the M3 while he is outrunning the barrel swing,,, then dive in and kill the tank,,,

Damage of some sort is inflicted on the tank if it is within the blast radius of a particular bomb(based on bomb's size).  I do not think a 500 pound bomb is enough to flip a tank without killing the tank.  In other words, drop closer to the tank and kill it Sir.

Well, I'd also like the concussive force from it being able to wound crewmen. I doubt that the force from a bomb that big dropped so close to you wouldn't hurt you in some way.

Physics is not my strong-point. It would seem though that depending on the location of the bomb blast (sides, front, or back) the shock wave of the explosion would be absorbed or at least repelled by the armor of the tank if the explosion was near the sides or the back.

You just drive into him until you're inside his tank.  I've done it before just to PO the guy.  Of ourse, they can't fire at you while you're inside them.

I will also do this to those annoying countrymen who won't turn off their engines even after asked politely.  I did this to one of these guys one night.  He kept trying to move to get away and I kept reacting to his every move staying inside him.  This went on for like 10 minutes.  It was funny as h*ll.

ha I did the same with an M3 in a pnzr, he hated me soo much he kept rolling trying to get away, someone shot him in the process and took the base soon after, the pnzr was the only thing stoppin us and all i did was make him run away from an M3
