Agreed, the C5 is pretty enough as it is, don't need a mullet 6-71...leave that for the Camaro drivers.

My friend has a stock 2002 Z06 with a Vortech with alchool cooling giving 614RWHP. Only mod necessary is tubing the rear wheels to provide the traction. http://www.aacorvette.com did a great clean job installing it, but they r pretty pricy  :t

... but sure is a lot of fun to drive.

I bet they had to change out the IRS for that kind of torque as well.  You should post some pics, Frenchy.

Goes back to our lust for too much horsepower as displayed in the F4U.  Was a beotch looking over the nose of that one, too.

-grin- .. when I make enough I'll do the deed.

I know there are some real nice underhood blower and turbo setups available that will push 600+ to the rear wheels.

And still look pretty much 'stock' .. we have a few runnin around in our club that just embarrass the *crap* outta various people that like to think Vette's are 'slow' or just don't realize what they have gotten into.
-evil grin-

For me tho .. if I am gonna spend 8-9k on a blower ..I want it polished and stickin in to the breeze ala 6-71 from BDS.
(their setup uses injection, not carbs, so it sits a bit lower overall compared to the photoshop chop I did above ..ie: no carbs, just an injector plate, then the Enderle butterfly type scoop).

And once you reach 600hp territory .. them lil o-rings they like to refer to as tires out back just don't do it for hook'em ups.
Ima need a Dana 60, 4:88's, and big stickies.

I want it all.

But .. that's just me :)

-Frank (I mean, sleeper image is fun, dont get me wrong .. but I like the idea of just plain ol lookin bad to the bone even before ya fire that beast up :)

That's the only ones I have Diablo. We don't like stuff that sticks out, no offense GreyE, but are opposite of you. The stock appearance is perfect, except the guages on the pilar. Even the Vortech whine is barely audible. We don't have a need to onkey with the IRS/trany/brakes/engine not even the driveshaft we did put Borla exausts. That's why newer vettes are so great I think, ready to handle anything.
The boost can be set from the cockpit, I thing we are runing 12 currently. The traction is the issue on 1/4 miles type of thing. We are thinking of tubbing the car to still keep the "stock look" but gain in traction for redlight blastoffs.
