If you hypocrites lived up to your own standard, you guys would be pouncing on Stang for his own obvious mistakes, but alas, you can’t see clearly for the beam in your own eye.

Congrats on the vet-pass Stang; it facilitates the double standard marvelously.

Probably why you hit a ball with a stick for a living, eh?

Yes, but it's an online community that has a lot of people with variety of ages. I know a lot of us have different background with gaming. Some use different slangs from different games.

This is the first online game I have ever played.  I've been playing for about 3 years now and you guys still confuse me with some of this stuff.
Amazing you could actually recruit that much suck into one squad.

I was mainly talking about the ones that didn't. It wouldn't have made much sense for the ones that did, now would it?

Having said that, I will take that hug, I imagine you're cuddly.

If he muted people in H2H to get an easy kill, he is far from cuddly. ;)

I agree with how grammatically incorrect people over the internet can be, but I sometimes don't feel the need to sound smart and use words I barely understand, so that I can please people.  If I can say a simple sentence, why would I need to put more depth into it when the point is clearly stated.

This however, can only go so far, and when I see people over the internet using horrible grammar, I usually correct them.  Once it becomes obvious they're not joking around, then I tell them to go back to school and look at a dictionary, or they can practice the phrase "would you like fries with that?"

I've seen how stupid kids can be.  I AM one, and when somebody I know can't spell "golf course" when they've been playing golf for 2 years, I just have to step in.

I could dive deeper into how flawed our education system is, but I dont wanna be a troll.

awrighty, i'll play...  by "effective"  we can agree that it means - getting your point across?

both you and kweassa are mighty fine constructors, but the WOT's might make many not even bother reading...

why use 27 words when 6 will do?

There's definitely times to be as brutally succinct as possible. But, there's times to use what some may consider superfluous descriptors to achieve a more thorough and comprehensive understanding of ideas and concepts. Writing as succinctly as possible is great for an Encyclopedia entry or for a stereo setup manual where the sole purpose is the dissemination of factual data in as contrite a manner as possible. But, for the articulation of concepts, ideas and the enunciation of salient points in a debate, sentences and even paragraphs constructed specifically to support and describe the main idea are crucial for effective written communication.

For example...Here's a very succinct essay on why dogs make good housepets..

Dogs make good housepets because they are intelligent and can both express emotional states and evoke them in humans.

Dogs are considered "man's best friend" because they love unconditionally and are not subject to the vagaries of dramatic moods swings as humans tend to be. It is scientific fact that people with pets, especially dogs, tend to live 8-12 years longer, depending on gender, and their emotional quality of life is better.

In conclusion, dogs make great pets as they provide a deep and unconditional mutual emotional repore often lacking in human interpersonal relationships.

As, you can see that essay is very succinct and I disseminated some good information. But, it was lacking in "soulful" resonance with my reader, lacked concrete relatable examples and was generally not terribly convincing or interesting to read. Writing as succinctly as possible is not necessarily the best way to communicate ideas, arguments or concepts. This is especially true when your goal is to capture the reader's attention, paint a mental picture or persuade others to your point-of-view.
