Look at this one, from the looks of it, an Me 163 with Japanese markings on it

Probabily because it isn't a ME-163 - it's a MITSUBISHI J8M SHUSUI (Sword Stroke). Japanese built version of the Komet.
Notice the different cockpit canopy bracing than the ME-163.

Whoever posted the photo didn't know what he was looking at.

The Ki-84 may be "interesting" but it also may be unhistoric. Note it's in an outdoor display of some museum with other restored aircraft. I'd keep looking before assuming this particular skin really served in the war.

In a custom skins forum? It's implied that he suggested it as an idea for possible skinning.

..and we need more historic looking planes skins in game for.......... ?

Why can't a skilled skin maker submit his creation and either be judged by all or chose by management?

I like only using histroically correct skins, and I think it should stay that way.

From:  http://www.hitechcreations.com/ahhelp/skins.html

Some basic guidlines:
We will only accept skins that were historically used in World War II.

And that's why we need more historic skins.

ahh...I post skins I think are interesting for starting points for others with suffiicient libraries, time, skill to take on a skin project and do a good job with it.  That is all.  I know pictures off the interent are not the end all be all of proof for historical accuracy.  No need to keep pointing that out.

And he should be shot immediately for his transgression. :furious

This from a guy that chooses to quote insults in his sig line, to the guy he's replying to?

You want bright red flames on neon green Yaks, go play IL2. "Historic skins only" is a good call on HTCs part.
