damn... et tu?

Somehow, those AARP guys had me pegged when i turned 50... the pressure is still on 7 years later. Last I heard, when I turn 62, the Old People Police will show up, toss my crap on a truck and I'll be relocated to a Wrinkle Ranch Concentration Camp in Florida.
I hear you get a free Jitterbug and Rascal in the deal though. :D

The cartoon transformers movie ruined the original GI Joe cartoon movie.  When parents saw a bunch of transformers taking lazer blasts to the gut and dying they flipped out.  Hell, Optimus bit it in that one, leading to Rodimus Prime (hee hee).

When all the complaints got to the toy company they had to heavily edit the GI Joe cartoon movie, Duke was suppoused to die along with some others.  Instead it was back to more of the same from the TV series: rockets hitting planes, boats, and tanks just after everyone bails out and lasers flying everywhere but not seeming to hit anything.

The fact that you're on a first name basis with Duke and the rest of the GI Joe gang is, well....  disturbing :D

I thought that was a bit hinkey myself.

Actually Jonny Quest might work, but only if the studio sticks to the pre-PC culture format of the original. Before it was neutered in it's second incarnation (replacing Hadji with a girl), the show was like an animated James Bond movie. Imagine that, people actually dying in a cartoon! Then the networks got on their "Violence in Cartoons" kick and we had to wait 30 years for the WB's Batman/Superman and of course, Japanese imports.

Trivia Question:
Do you guys know who did the voice for Jonny?

Jonny's voice? I guess I should have been clearer. I meant the original. JAGED nailed it earlier. Tim Matheson.

Of course its going to suck..

It's based on a ridiculous cartoon people thought was totally awesome when they were 10.. What do people seriously expect?
