I'd like more than just an update.  Aces High 3 perhaps?  It's asking a lot but hey... it's somewhat realistic.

Odds are they won't release on a 3-day weekend because they need to be on-hand to watch for catastrophic bugs/problems.

You would think that but they always seem to release updates right before a weekend for some reason. I would think they would do it on a monday so they have a whole week to mess with it if need be but that hasn't been the case. The last update came out on wed March 19th 2008, the one before that was August 23rd 2007 on a thursday, before that was April 11th 2007 a wed.

Wow seeing a pattern here. April, August, March, and here it is the end of August again. Hmmmmm maybe this afternoon?

He111 was supposedly aerobatic enough to (in rare cases where the pilot was an expert) dance with night fighters hunting them.

What were they using for night fighters that early in the war, (winter 40/41)
Blenhiems weren't they??? Among others, nothing really hot...

Beaufighters, in this case. From what I recall a Beau tracked a Heinkel, and then got more than his money's worth, twisting and turning, with 2 aces ending up almost in the ground. The Heinkel didn't come out of it, but it wasn't easy prey.

Again, we're talking night fighters here, not spitfires. Still, it's no dumptruck.

Beaufighter OK, obsolete Beaufort bomber rebuilt into naval attack plane/night fighter... Not too bad
of a plane if I remember right, heavy firepower, pretty good speed too... Kinda ugly, lol...

Against an 111, impressive for the 111....

An update?  This game could use some revisions!

1> More auto ack and man ack at Veh bases.

2> Man ack at stategic targets.  No more easy dive bombing.

3> Have more than one version of each type of base.  Right now, each and every base is a stamped copy of the next one its same size or type.  If the veh base had 3-4 different locations for the map room, aor maybe 3-4 different positions the hangers, barracks, etc could be in... stop and think how the dynamics of the game would change.  Instead of approcahing a medium airfield and knowing exactly where the ords were even before seeing them the player needs to do a quick recon around the base to locate the ords.  Is there 3 or 5?

Lots of things to think about and change up.   ;)

I think I'll head on over to the "wish list" forums and post these there, too.
