Just because the United States resists a logical system of measurement doesn't mean we have to bastardize aircraft like the 109 and Yak.
Give us metric instruments please.
You are telling me that you actually find it natural to think and talk in terms like, "That chap looks to be about 1.87935624 meters tall..." or "Hello, I'd like a .337 meter Coney dog with chili and Jalepeno relish..."?????
Also, I'm sorry, I can squint at the barely visible ASI in the Fw-190 in the "Il2" game, do a little head-math (6/10ths X so-and-so=mph) and figure out how fast I'm going. But by that time, the dogfight is over! It still freaks me right the hell out when I'm in a dive, look down, and see "700" indicated!!!
Seriously though, the old game "Combat Flight Simulator" has a simple toggle to switch the instruments from
standard to metric, I see no reason why a similar feature couldn't be added to AHII at some point to make things easier for those poor lost souls out in metric land. You folks have enough to deal with, what with having to think of your feet as being .3022 units long and your thumbs as being 2.54 units across, etc.
