Seems like it...

Although his posts aren't as entertaining  :furious

Skuzz, can you do your duty yet? Or do we have to wait till it registers on the slipknot scale?

Slipknot at least used proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Area at each tip of runway, if a bomb is there, the runway option will be blanked out.
That way a player knows for sure the spawn point has been hit, no unneeded spawn deaths, and no waste of perks.

Simple invisible "hit box" at the tip of each runway, if the box is hit, it sends a message back to the tower telling the players computer to (grey) out the N,S,E,W Ne .ect on the clipboard.

I started in Open Beta when this was around.  As soon as people found out that you could shut down a field this way with a few bombs and have no resistance to taking an indefensable field(didn't have GV's then) Hitech quickly made craters look pretty rather than collidable objects.

I don't think this is a bad idea. Make it so one M3/goon of field supps and they're fixed.
Yeah on a small field it'll only take 2 bombs, but you can still up out of the hangars and on a larger field it will require more bombs.
I don't think it's unreasonable that if folks want to keep their field up they bring supplies in.
Furballers have it way too easy these days. They have guaranteed fuel where we used to be able to pork it to 25%, they have crazy amounts of ack so they don't have to up from the next base across, they no longer have to worry about puffy ack when they fly at 25K over an enemy base.
Please make a few concessions for the strat crews.

...you're kidding right?

Put one on EACH spawn point, this INCLUDES the hanger... ONE stuka... ONE corsair (2 bombs, and 4-8 rockets) and the field is CLOSED, two guys can take a field, easy, it's a recipie for destruction imo...

1 guy can take any field easily now anyway. A horde is not needed. 1 T34 with HE and follow it up with an M3.
There is a lot more to strat than just base taking. Resupply is also a large component.
We used to be able to lock down fields by cratering the runways and porking the fuel. It was taken away because furballers were just too lazy to either run supplies or launch from the next field over?
Strat play means nothing anymore outside of taking bases and quite frankly it sucks.

Have you actually ever flown a flight sim where you couldn't take off because the runway was damaged?

I have, in a word, it sucks.

Let everyone fly, let them do their combat in the air, not on the ground.

runway damage should effect the takeoff and landing of planes cluster bombs would be good for this craters where always a problem right now you can coast through them

PS it may not be slipknot, but it sure sounds like him.

One Lanc could shut down four airfields.  One in the center and three support fields.  Pretty easy way for the landgrabbers to go about making sure they don't have to fight, which is after all, what this suggestion's all about.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

NO,

All a few people would have to do is drop bombs and the would of closed down the airfield.

No to this.  If you want to inhibit operations at a field just go with the tried and true approach...take down the hangars. :aok
