Yeah, I have issues with the GV's too...
But if the game was Aircraft only, like games in the past...
I would have just gotten bored and left, just like the past...
I don't think that I'm alone in that viewpoint...
Right now, I really think the game could use new evolutions..
Tactical problems to be solved, new objectives to fight over...
For example, one of the big maps has a channel of water between
the land masses, OK!!!! But GV's can just spawn across it... OoooWeee Big fun huh???
How about bringing the Land masses closer, about 3k across, and putting a viaduct type
bridge across it, with a Vbase at each end??? Have Bridge supps for M3, so you can
repair it after it gets bombed, etc, etc.... So you would have to suppress the opposition
on the opposite shore, and force the crossing.... Or you go NOWHERE!!!
Or, an Island in the channel (no bases), w 2 bridges, one on each side.... Tank Island?????
Game opens w tanks rushing over their bridge, to sieze control of the island, and force the enemy
to fight at a disadvantage, on HIS bridge....
Also BailyBridge supps, so you can build your own, 1 supp= 1 pont and span...
Bridge and river crossings against an angry shore, are one of the most difficult opps in war...
And would give a REASON, for a real knuckledraggin fistfight....
That aircover would be needed desperately, goes without sayin!!!!

I mean really, all the possible opps in the game, are in the can....
Everybody knows them, can run them in their sleep... Probably do too, lol!!!
