I went 24/0 against B-17's and B-24's at the start of this camp in a Spitfire (very fragile against heavy bomber defenses) by diving from the high 6 on a path that allowed me to hit the engines and/or wing roots in full profile from above.

As most buff pilots sit in the rear gun, they can't track this approach.  They ultimately have to move to, and only have use of, their top guns and have to use them against a high speed crossing target.

Immediately after hitting the first buff WEP up in a vertical climb, roll at the top and repeat the approach.

Three passes, three dead buffs and ammo to spare.

i had time for one single flght yesterday. so i took lancs, and tried to support my squadies. as i passed over the field, most of the fighters forgot about everything except those dam lancs up there  :D i had 2 110's, a zeek, a spit, and a 109 chasin me.
one of the 110's broke off, as did the spit. the other 110 caught me, and attacked from the six low. i REALLY can't believe people don't know any better. i helped his fuel effeciency by lightening up his aircraft for him. namely..took his left wing off.
next was the zeek(he caught up as i slowed a bit to suck the 110 in). he managed to take one of my drones, but suffered engine hits, and rtb'd.
though i was clear till a 109 came from the north.....his attacks were proffessional and effective, although he only took a drone, then ran outta ammo on me.
his were from my rear quarters, high. they were slashing attacks. i did notice that if i fired off a few rounds, it caused him to adjust, and he would hit me less accuratly. i don't remember who it was, but it was nice fling on his part.
