How about making it so that if you have to bail in injun country , you have the option of escaping instead of it being an automatic captured pilot.   Some times you bail out near a base in your own territory but still very close to one of your own bases, don't see any reason you cant just foot it over to safety.

If you move your joystick forward when on the ground you start running.   Tho I never had the patience to see if I can run back to friendly territory and not get captured.

I'd really like for pilots to be able to land and pick up a friendly pilot.  This happened more than a few times in WW2, even with single seat fighters.  Vehicles should be able to do this too.  The vehicle/plane drives up to the downed pilot, the downed pilot enters .join username and away they go with the downed pilot serving as observer/gunner.

Fully agree funked

Seems strange that you can bail and land close to one of your own ground units but still be captured everytime.

There have been several posts about the possibility of rescue.  I think it would be the coolest part of the game.  Imagine receiving a distress call, landing in a field with fighting all around, picking up the hapless pilot and trying to fly outa the warzone towards home.
Any plane should be allowed to rescue- there were many instances of rescues in P51s, Bf109s (with some equipment removed), P38s, etc.
Plese add this feature.  The gameplay would be amazing.

I've got a photo of an Fw 190 with a pilot stuffed into the storage space in the aft fuselage.  If there was a good field nearby, and the skies were clear, it was doable.
