Battle of Britain 2008 needs an allied CO
« on: August 29, 2008, 07:57:45 PM »
Hello, all.

Kermit has volunteered for and been accepted as LW CO for the upcoming Battle of Britain 2008 scenario.  Congratulations, Kermit!

We still need an RAF CO.

Interested pilots, please post here or send a PM to me.  Please list the scenarios you've played in and your roles in each.

Generally, to be a CO, the applicant needs to have flown in several scenarios and have been at least a GL on several occasions.  Preferably, the applicant also has experience at least once as an XO, bomber-group leader, or leader of several fighter squadrons.  We also like to pick CO's who we think will be easy to work with, able to recruit more players, responsive to communication from his team, and devoted enough to get his side organized and to get out well-thought-out mission orders for each frame.

For those interested in the duties and qualifications of a CO in more detail, please see this document:

http://www.electraforge.com/brooke/flightsims/ahevents_site/scenarios/co_gl_guide.htm

Thanks, all.

Battle of Britain 2008 is on its way!

Well done, BearKats.  Now you can relax and fly as a regular pilot for once . . . until you are refreshed and ready to be CO again. :)

No volunteers yet for allied CO, but it is still very early.  There are probably a lot of people who don't know that we're at that stage yet.  In another week, I'll start sending invitations to volunteer to various past CO's as well.  BearKats and LeitWolf would be included in that except that they just finished up and so deserve a respite.

:salute Recht schönen Dank Leitwolf, You made a great Emperor in Rangoon!

Herr kermit...I like the sound of that.

Leitwolf, You can be of GREAT use for this scenario.  I'll pm you more info this week.

I am hoping someone steps up to be Allied CO soon.  Then the planning will begin for Operation Sealion.  I will need many Group Leaders for this Scenario.

It will be Germany's Finest Hour.

muahaha...

BK, I have been asking people in the MA about wanting to be the CO for the Allied.
I hope you can help find a CO as well.  I'm sure you know a few people that could.
