Actually since the inflight radar is a lashup to represent everything from radar to spotting reports to radio intercepts, it's something to keep, what needs to be changed is the certainty factor, when you look at dar right now, you get 100% accurate data,at real time interval. It needs to be fudged, say, make all contacts a nuetral shade (like gray) or build in a delay to the dar updates.
And while we are talking about it, ditch range info from the icons, if we need visual cues due to state-of-the-art, make the icons itself increase or decrease in size to a relative limit,no WW2 a/c carried a radar range computing gunsight, so let's inhibit this bit.
