Yeah I agree NOTHING for cons under 500 AGL - no bars, no dots, (hell no icons even).  Right now NOE is worthless in AH.

You want more suprise in the game drop the dar.

Give dar in the tower.

Have a key to press to get a text buffer message in degrees to the nearest red. Sort of like a ground control fix when inflight.

Add the sun. Why we have no sun to bounce guys out of is beyond me.

With PAC its not such an issue, but no sector markers for anything under 500ft is ok, so long as there are sectro markers for GV's.  In RL there would be people able to report when a base was under attack.  In other sims a message is displayed by a base when its being attacked.  There is no such thing in place in AH, and until there is, i think sector markers have to stay around friendly bases.

I think sector bars should NOT be visible in the enemy interior (or at sea) unless your side has something, that can see the enemy dots to report it. (wether it be a base or in your controlled territory). For a base under attack by GV's perhaps a blinking sector bar, which would simulate the base screaming that they are being attacked. (GV's and bombardment only here, not planes since we have the dots close in..)

grey bars would represent old or unconfirmed contact info. (spotted once but not current, or possible contact, ala GV crosscountry, in base secors\own territory.)

The dot radar could still work as it is, since you'd have the limited range.

I think this would give us a LOT better strategic and tactical possibilities than we have now. Of course everyone would be screaming for those PBY's for scouting duty...

but we could also eliminate the LONG sector bars also. Usually if it's a big fight going on someone is reporting where it is...

As it is now everyone knows exactly where the CV groups are by the sector bars, regardless if that CV is launching aircraft etc.
Totally negates strategic and tactical movement of fleets.
