I have a few rifles and a few pistols. Three quarters of them are barrel stuffers. The really cool thing is if i can't get them loaded fast enough the rifles make really good clubs. Hence the reason some indians feared the mountain man. If I get the .54 Thompson loaded I can remove body parts at close range.

As far as what it would take to take your guns away, some just don`t get it.
This weasel wants to change all that. He wants to change the way things are done all the way around. He seems to want to be the beginning of the end for our way of life. He desires to trample the constitution for starts.
Anyone believing that Obama doesn`t want to take your guns, your personal rights and your freedom is equal to someone standing in the middle of a downpour saying "What Rain?".
The guy is a very serious threat to our country in my opinion. I am certainly not alone by a long shot.

I didn't say DU is new.  I said the alignment between conservationists and hunting advocates is new.  Ducks unlimited is an example of an organization that has made a real effort to educate the public about wildlife ecology.

FYI, I agree that assault weapon bans are silly.  A tiny fraction of gun crime is perpetrated with them, and there is nothing about the weapons that is more dangerous than a semi-automatic rifle except for the pistol grip, if you think that counts.

People in my position, e.g. not ideologically committed one way or the other, have the same dilemma over both candidates: both support positions that we do not agree with.  Because of the political leanings of this forum, the concerns that a middle of the road voter has about McCain are not spoken about.

osamabibiden gets a solid "F" rating from the NRA.. that is about all you need to know.. he would love to stop all concealed carry and all semi auto firearms.. His idea of "reasonable" would get rid of about 90% of the guns in most of our homes and then make it so we couldn't use the rest.

While he can't repeal the second on his own... he can appoint the people who will... and he will.. We just had a landmark case on gun control..  Heller..  you might have heard of it.

It was a squeaker so far as getting rid of gun bans.... 5/4...  imagine if Bush had not appointed two of those judges who ruled in favor of the people and individual rights?    the liberal socialist judges spouted off about "collective rights"  (sorta like marx) and governments rights... yours don't count.

The only thing that I have heard him say about guns since the convention was kicked off was that he believes that we can find a way to preserve the rights of gun-owning hunters while keeping AK-47s out of the hands of criminals....which perfectly illustrates the fact that he knows absolutely squat about guns and crime.  Assault rifles are so seldom used in crimes that it almost doesn't register as a statistic.

If the second is important to you then osamabinbiden is the worst candidate out there.  If you don't care then you can look at the other issues..   where he is wrong 99% of the time too.
