But seriously, I think Obama has the right ideas, even if he severely lacks in experience.

You could even view his lack of experience as an advantage, as it means that he won't be as corrupt/deceitful as many politicians are (as he's had less time to be corrupted).

I estimate 50% of my income is used to pay taxes.  Income taxes, property taxes, gasoline taxes, sales taxes, user fees, license fees.  I think Obama's "right ideas" would cost me another 20% of my income in taxes.

I don't think Obamas plan to tax companies out of business is the right idea.

I don't think Obamas plan to disarm America is the right idea.

I don't think Obamas plan to give everyone without health insurance free insurance is the right idea, it will cost the working middle class a fortune they can't afford to pay.

I don't think Obama has done anything in his career to warrant his consideration for POTUS.

I predicted a McCain win some time ago, even though I am from the other side of the pond. He's the safer option. Obama is long on rhetoric, short on details. He may or may not make a good president.  I doubt if we will find out. I think the timing is wrong and he only won the nomination because frankly even Dems knew Hillary would clinch it for the Republicans even if they put up Jed Bush this time.

The Palin thing is a brilliant move and could clinch it for McCain, despite the the teen pregnancy.
