It could, Pokryshkin flew it before getting the P-39. He got some 14 kills in it. (all using 2 .303s or 2 12.7mm machine guns)

And for the Yak 3, I dont see anything specail about it. I know this isn't AHII, but in WarBirds, it's a piece of junk that stalls worse than the P-39 IMO. The bombers are a definate yes though.

Yak-3 is crucial to the VVS plane set. It fills a big gap from early 1944 to I think close to the end of the war.

You have to remember the Yak-3 was "out of order"

It went:
Yak-1 (1940)
Yak-7 (1941)
Yak-9 (1943)
Yak-3 (1944)
Axis C.O. for Battle of the Dnieper, Winter '43

I know that. :) Just telling you that you're gonna have a heck of a lot of trouble learning that thing.

I've flown it in WB and FA3, and it stalls very very quickly.

yes, but Як-3 still, with his weight/power (5,864 lb/1,850 hp) the powerfull fighter of the late war and one of the faster prop plane of the history (447 mph at 5,750 m (18,860 ft))!!
Another thing it make this plane deadly is his nose B-20 cannon (1944) instead of the actual ShVAK's  and the 1945 version NS-23 cannon with 23 mm of 200g wight shells. 4,848 aircraft equiped with NS-23 were produced!

Just a question. Did it fly 447 IAS (Indicated Air-Speed) at 18,000? Or did it fly a GS (Ground-Speed) of 447 M.P.H. at 18,000?

Pe-8 would be sweet though

yak-1/42: sure, be nice to have rockets

yak-7: i'll bet you want the a/b &/or -37 model (all those 20mm & the 37mm with Rs82s); which is fine IF it is Perked

yak-3/3p: again, gotta be a perked ride

now as to the MiG-1 & 3 as quoted in by someone else:

MiG-1: not enough produced, about 100, so forget it.

MiG-3: ubs/shkas is underwhelming firepower, so it would need the '42 model with twin shvks, but only 52 of those were made.  so the MiG-3 would need be, as are many, a conglomerate aircraft of the '41 & '42 to be seen in AH.  it probably would be perked, but even less than a c-hog or spt14.

Like I said, the Yak 3 and Mig 3 arent that great. Go download WarBirds3, and fly the Yak 3 around, you'll stall so quick, you'll find a 190 easier to fly in a turn fight.

You're kidding right?

Hardly.  check the Yak-9 vs. the Yak-3 vs. La-7 (which should be a perk ride; but that is another thread)

Yak-9
Maximum speed: 367 mph at altitude (591 km/h)
Range: 845 miles (1,360 km)
Service ceiling 30,000 ft (9,100 m)
Rate of climb: 2,690 ft/min (13.7 m/s)
Wing loading: 37 lb/ft² (181 kg/m²)
Power/mass: 0.17 hp/lb (0.28 kW/kg)

Yak-3
Maximum speed: 646 km/h (401 mph)
Range: 650 km (405 miles)
Service ceiling 10,700 m (35,000 ft)
Rate of climb: 18.5 m/s (3,645 ft/min)
Wing loading: 181 kg/m² (36.7 lb/ft²)
Power/mass: 0.36 kW/kg (0.22 hp/lb)

La-7
Maximum speed: 680 km/h (425 mph)
Range: 635 km (394 miles)
Service ceiling 9,500 m (31,160 ft)
Rate of climb: 18.3 m/s (3,608 ft/min)
Wing loading: 38 lb/ft² (187 kg/m²)
Power/mass: 0.42 kW/kg (0.25 hp/lb)

So yes to perking Yak-3: tighter turning, longer ranged, equal climbing, slightly slower than the La-7 hoped-for-in-many-a-VvsDweebs-dreams.  :D

Three things:

1)  :furious This IS NOT WarBirds

2)  :furious This IS NOT FA

3) :D This IS Aces High 2 & the flight models are & will be different.  :O

No, they'll be different than FA3, but probably not WB. Planes fly the same to me in both of them. WB isn't as great (graphics wise and what not), but I can promise you that if you fly the Yak 3 on there with realistic flight, you'll think twice about it.
