November 15th.  Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Coutoure!  Predictions?  I think Lesnar will destroy him.

Really?  I don't think Randy will be able to deal with Lesnars strength and speed.  What kind of submission do you think he will catch him with?

Don't know, there's hundreds of possibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a leg attack, but it won't be as easy as what Mir pulled off with that kneebar. The problem with Lesnar is that while he's a freak of nature, he hasn't put in the time. Having a lot of money and being able to train full time will bring your game up in a hurry, but that's not enough to deal with the experience of somebody that's been doing submission grappling for over a decade, and runs one of the top pro gyms in the country that's loaded down with talent.

If it stays standing, Lesnar can use his size advantage. Unfortunately for Lesnar, his striking kind of sucks, so he has to take it to the ground and do nothing but stay on top and try to pound him out through his guard. Being in somebody's guard is not where you want to be. Also, a 280 pound frame needs tons of oxygen to keep functioning, so he'll burn out faster that even an aged Couture.

All valid points, but I still believe Lesnar is going to surprise a lot of people.  I don't believe he should be fighting for a title yet, what happened to the interum title held by Nogera (sp?).  Anyone know? I can't access UFC.com at work.

Pre Heath Herring fight I would have agreed with that prediction but Lesnar really looked inexperienced.  He should have ended that fight in the first round but looked like he didn’t know how to go about it.  R.C. has a strong chin… if Lesnar gives him that much time he will lose.  R.C. will submit him as quickly as possible

This could mean Fight with Fedor is in the near future. Randy has said that he wont fight in the UFC unless they get Fedor.

That would be great, definitely a feather missing out of the UFC's cap (Fedor).  Of course, Randy could be missing the paychecks as well.

I don't doubt it at all, as successful as his gym and clothing line may be, he was pulling down almost 2 million per fight, unless your making Tiger Woods money that is a lot of greenbacks.  How many times have you seen athletes who make tens of millions per year squabble over 500k more?  I'm not saying that is the reason, but it could be part of the reason.  Wasn't part of his leaving the UFC over money?

The main reason i don't think it was about money is he was winning to fight for M1 and Affliction for significantly less money. I think he just really wants to end his carrear by fighting Fedor.

Couture ran out of time. The UFC had him in court, and it would be in court for another 5-10 years resolving the contract dispute. Randy is too old for that, and has to cash in sooner than later. He re-signed a 3 fight deal with the UFC. His first fight is going to be Lesnar. Win or lose, he's been promised a Fedor fight. Dana is making sure Affliction dies horribly (it will. IFL folded $30mil in debt. EliteXC is about to fold, at $43mil in debt), and then will do a one-off co-promotion with M-1 Global to put on a Couture vs Fedor super fight. The other fight is shaping up to be Couture vs Big Nog. That will be a nasty one.

Who is Big-Nog? For which group does he fight?  I have never heard of him, not saying that like "he must not be anyone special" but I admit that 99% of my MMA fighter knowledge is UFC based, it is the one I prefer to watch.  I can't wait until Elite XC dies, Frank Shamrock is the most narcissistic A-hole I have ever seen in my life.  For all of you MMA guru's, is Frank Shamrock even close to being as good as he says he is?
