Transparency problem on squad logo
« on: September 04, 2008, 06:37:40 PM »
<S> Gentlemen,

Maybe you can help me here: I have prepared a new squad logo and thought that, to get transparency on the edges of the square, I had to code the colour 176,176, 176. I did so and I still get a grey square around the logo.

Does someone know what is the correct colour code for transparency?

Thank you in advance,

<S>

It's not the actual color that makes it transparent, it's the index number of the color... which wants to be 0. Color can be pink, green, blue... anything at all, as long as it's the first color.

 :huh ,  first colour? What do you mean by first colour? I work with Paint. How should I do that?

Thanks,

Sorry Sparow, I use Photoshop... no idea how someone would do that in Paint.

Thanks,
First color in the bitmap color index, probably. I don't think Paint has any way to see or edit that.  Gimp is probably the easiest way to get to that color index.  Photoshop can do it and PaintShopPro most likely can too.

Pure white. Then replace any white you want to show up with the slightly-off-white. Works on all of mine anyway...
