Texas
« on: September 05, 2008, 12:27:59 PM »
Just noticed RedTop's location:
"Central Texas / Northern Mexico..same thing"

Which brings questions:
Who is a Texan ?
Who should really own Texas ?
"In 1821, after the Mexican War of Independence, the territory became a part of the new country.Texas became the northern section of Coahuila y Tejas in 1824. Mexico ended the Spanish policy of allowing only full-blooded Spaniards to settle Texas."

(Maybe too much to read for reading impaired, sorry )

I'm not sure that's what RedTop meant.

By the rules of the era, the Texans came by their republic fain 'n square.

Sour grapes revisionist history won't get Texas back to Mexico.

Illegal Immigration and Latino revolt might.

I'm not sure that's what RedTop meant.

I think what RedTop means (in a politically very correct language) is that there are way too many Mexican inhabitants in Texas. But perhaps they are just regaining (peacefully) the land they lost by violence.

Fixed.

They lost it fair and square.  Oh wait, no they didn't, there was a little massacre down in Goliad.  I guess you missed that part, too.

Perhaps if we'd annexed their entire country, it wouldn't be such a stinking cesspool of corruption that it makes our cesspool of corruption look like a rose garden.

If Mexico thinks they lost the territory unfair and unsquare they are more than welcome to try to "Come And Take It" again if they so desire.  We could use the practice.

My point is that they are taking it back, peacefully and justifiably.

If the lil buggers screw with Texas, they'll discover this whole damn county is populated by Texans; no matter where we get our mail.
