Strangely enough, my wife has been complaining that I haven't bought her a gucci expensive do-everything food processor dingus.  It's about $250 for the model she wants.

She also wants a $900 gold/diamond ring.

Suxxors.

No, no, no, no! You have to get romantic.  Wait till she is in bed and walk out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a big red ribbon. And by nothing, I mean nothing but the ribbon. Your descretion at where it is placed. :aok

Now if you will excuse me, I have to throw up at the thought of Baitman in a red ribbon. :salute

excellent choice =)

I rest my case.

Taint nothing a woman enjoys more then a day of being pampered with the knowlege that the person doing the pampering isnt doing it just so they can get some.
That in itself may end up getting you some.

But
If you take her away for a romantic evening and she'll be thinking to herself
"Is this supposed to be gift for me,or him?"

romantic getaways is for anniversaries
Death is no easy answer

Pardon my idiocy, but first off a wife means you should know her a bit I'd hope...

second off as a wife she should let you know what she likes and not be all "mysterious". Why women always keep stuff from their "man" confounds and irritates me personally.

All you have mentioned is she loves horses, why not get her some saddle time in a special horse, or some time on a ranch together riding? she must have a usual place of riding, check with them about a weekend package of riding trails or something similar. see if they recommend a place that can provide such.

does she own her own saddle? they are quite expensive, but you can take her some place and just say "pick one".

thats my thoughts.

Dave, I'll be married 10 years in December.  I simply stopped trying to "figure her out" about 4 years ago.   I've known her 15 years and she still manages to "surprise me".   Life became easier for me after I stopped trying.

Get her a psychedelic colored bowling ball with your first name engraved in it with sparkles. :D

No seriously, get her one of those blasted "blue box" jobs from Tiffanys.  Cost a lot, but when you forget a birthday/anniversary etc, you gotta pay.  :uhoh

Break down and buy her some roses.  Keep her guessing! :D

I usually buy the wife a dozen every month.  I mix up the days so she never knows when she's getting them.  She deserves them.

Txdad does this as well.  Instead of getting showered w/gifts at b-day & christmas, he gives me gifts on just regular 'ole days... for no expected reason.  It's marvelous. :)

Kinda what we do for each other. As for a horse we live on a farm (own another close by with access to the mountain) have 6 horses here and she keeps her special horse at a indoor riding arena. The horse cost me $11,000 one of the saddles cost me $3,500 and it doesn't stop there. I usually keep my wife in tack and other stuff.

Its 8:45 PM I am going to get her Pizza and a card. I guess thats what she really wants.

Btw Sooner I look good in nothing but a red ribbon........(in the dark :rofl)

I'm a little confused....  You have your wife fitted for a bridle and saddle?  Sounds a bit kinky.  Not that there is anything wrong with that. :devil

:rofl now you mention it does sound kinky but no that was the first wife. Putting my words on computer doesn't look the same as it sounds. :rofl

I stop trying to figure them out to. We simple men could never understand the thinking of a woman or guess what she will do next (when they are driving too).

Wtg on 10 years in Dec..... My wife and I have been together 12 years in Jan..... I will marry her some day...

Here is a gift I gave to my wife a few years ago for her borthday.
No way you loose in this one. NO WAY.
As Texas Mom or any other woman you know.

Get her a gift card for a day at a Day Spa
Yeah.. An unlimited 1 or 2 day pass at that or a massage parlor, whatever they're called.  She gets to go over there and relax away from everything inside mud and jacuzzis etc and not even think a single time of who pays what while professionals quietly slave away at every imaginable detail of comfort.

We are both from failed marrages and both bring children to the partnership. I gave her a ring and we got engaged 10+ years ago. A paper that says we are married isn't as important as the relationship.

BTW got a card and a horse magazine. Inside the card a note with a day spa or equivalent moneys for tack for her horse. She was very happy :aok

This doesn't work with some women...  My wife would consider a trip to a spa a massive waste of time.  She'd be there whole time thinking about all the things she wanted to be doing instead, and she'd leave the spa a lot less relaxed than when she got there.

Well yeah, you don't give em that sort of present while they're in the middle of work :)  I've had good results with it so far, even an ex that I hadn't seen in 3 years (I sent it from the other side of the planet, incognito) took it and gladly ran with it ..
