i have always wondered.... what does IN mean?
I believe it is short for "In before the lock".  People basically saying a topic is so off as to be doomed to become locked once an admin sees it.

Is anyone else reminded of when CMustard came in here ranting (in similar broken English) about how the 'crap' about TAS and IAS needs to be fixed?

The USA planes in HTC have 40 secs of ammo with there machine gun most USA planes of WW2 had 20 sec of machine gun ammo the P-40 had 17 secs of ammo the  P-51 P-38 P-47 had around 19 more secs of ammo. So the machine guns firer at a much more slower rate then they did in real life. So im wishing for HTC to fix this problem.

 What's your ammoload?

Please don't tell me you're using the "overload" ammunition settings such as the 3400 rounds on P-47s, and then going on to compare that with firing times of standard historical ammunition settings.

If you are, then I think you owe the posters on this thread on apology.

Trust me Glock89.. if there was ANYTHING wrong with this the experts on this board (there actually is alot of them) would have pointed them out several years ago. This bbs is a place were a 2,5 mhp difference between real life and in-game speed of a plane can generate 30 pages of tech data and arguments.

Me thINks that you might be a tad clueless about the realities here. Average firing bursts were in the range of 2-5 seconds with occasional accounts of a guy "pouring it on" for maybe double that....your not going to overheat an air cooled MG with a burst like that....especially in a plane going at 300+MPH....often in temps in the sub zero range. Could you overheat a barrel with a 30-40 second burst....very possibly, but thats not a reality. Jamming was a very real issue but not do to overheating...

I'm still waiting for an answer. Because, the longer firing durations are a direct result of non-standard ammunition setting. When fired with the more standard amount of ammunition the firing time is down to the levels mentioned in the original post.

Aren't you going to answer me glock?

I want you to confirm, acknowledge this fact, and apologize to people you've insulted people for your own mistakes.

yes i do. But i do have a life so i dont want 2 site here and fire all the mgs and wait for 40 secs till they are done.

You call having a life means not waiting 40 seconds to test something you started a discussion about?
