But hey, what does he know? According to Meghan McCain, "No one knows what war is like other than my family. Period."

Here she is saying it:

Unfortunately for the case being argued it doesn't say much against him other then re-affirm his already well known bad temper.

Ok I knew that already.

Still undecided but I cant way I wouldnt welcome someone with a bad temper.
Might instill some well needed fear into those who would ally against us.

Did you know that McCain was once shot down by friendly fire.

It was his plane, with McCain in the cockpit, the Zuni rocket hit on the USS Forrestal (CV 59) July 29, 1967. The result was 134 killed, 161 injured and 21 destroyed aircraft.

He knew him when he was a POW. Big deal.

Doesn't mean hes the same person then that he is now.

The stories of Bill Clinton's temper are legendary as well. Those who supported him are largely supporting Obama.  I guess the temper being a bad thing depends on whether you are a democrat or not.

Swiftboatz! Nevar forget!
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Unfit to lead?

Who you trying to fool.  Find one former POW that speaks disparagingly about McCain and there will be tenfold that come fourth to support him.

McCain refused preferential treatment while being tortured in Hanoi that would have allowed him to experience a release to freedom months ahead of the rest of his fellow POWs.
Instead he chose to remain in captivity with his fellow POWs rather than abandon them there to suffer.

Bad temper?  uhhhh....ya.  You will need to dig your hole a full length deeper beyond what you have
already to even attempt to make a comparison between Kerry (unfit to lead) and McCain.  There is no comparison.

So the only thing this guy has against him is that when he knew McCain over 40 years ago is that he had a bad temper and wasn't religious. Wow that's really deep there dude.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

About Phillip Butler

Doctor Phillip Butler is a 1961 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former light-attack carrier pilot. In 1965 he was shot down over North Vietnam where he spent eight years as a prisoner of war. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legion of Merits, two Bronze Stars and two Purple Heart medals.

After his repatriation in 1973 he earned a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California at San Diego and became a Navy Organizational Effectiveness consultant. He completed his Navy career in 1981 as a professor of management at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is now a peace and justice activist with Veterans for Peace.

About 600 POW's came home... what are the chances one or two of 'em were democrats? They also demonstrate disparate career paths in the service after repatriation. McCain went on to Command. This guy wandered off into military academia.

Speaks volumes in itself.
