Hello Trotter,

At one time this was only an Air Combat game only.  As you can see from the webpage it welcomes you to the "Premier WWII Combat Experience" and you can " Engage in Air, Land or Sea Combat".  So HTC has obviously decided that it is no longer an Air combat game only.  Airplanes and vehicles will continue to be added as the game upgrades and grows.  Embrace your inner mud-slinger Sir!

<Salute>

HT himself has stated that GV's are no more than a sideshow used to promote more air combat. The slogan on the main webpage is an example of inclusive advertising. When you advertise to the lowest common denominator, you bring in the largest customer base. Once that large customer base has played your game, they decide whether or not to continue to pay. This method wields more long term subscribers than a targeted advertising approach intended to attract surefire long term customers only.

The game is about air combat, to think otherwise because of a slogan and the inclusion of a few token GV's is incomprehensible.

I do believe that air combat IS made better by the inclusion of GV's, CV's, and base capture. But: Mission Accomplished! Let's leave those areas of the game alone now that they have enhanced air combat. Focus on the true value of the game.

Actually (out side of potential scenario, FSO, snapshot etc) you dont need more tanks. What you need is other alternatives from direct/indirect artillery (M7 as an example) and a towable and or mobile AT gun. A US M-3 with a Russian 57mm AT tube would be an eye opener for example...

artie would b awesome but i doubt that HTC will add it, (it'd probably take ALOT to program a new part of the game like that) map grid designations coordinates etc...there is also the possibility that it could be made easily...dont know

and yet, some of the most well known people in the game, are known for their GV'ing skills.

GV = Awesome with a gun, hull, and tracks.

The only person in the game known for their GV'ing skills that I can think of is DR7.

Rondar, Dr7, Stodd, BigPat, VansCrew (belive what you want, but he was really good in GV's) and there are quite a few more that I could name. Of course, there is the LTARs who are good too in GVs.

Just because VanScrew is good in GV's doesn't mean he's known for it... he's known for being VansCrew. Same thing with Stodd... in fact, I never knew he was any good in a tank until recently.
I've never heard of any of the rest of those people, I assume their only known among other tankers.
