As a non-expert, when I get killed 3 or 4 times in a row by the likes of Lynx or Bruv, I move somewhere else. Part of the enjoyment of the game, at least for me, is having a balanced fight. I don't enjoy one-sided victories, AFK kills, or getting totally out-flown consistently. Sure, it makes me want to get better, but a guy can get his headed handed to him just so many times before the fun stops.

I think it's ok where it is...but I wouldn't object to being able to turn it on or off (the post-mortems).

TO make it more realistic, remove the names from planes altogether and make each team fly by the plane markings. There was no "clip board map radar BS" in ww2.

I agree with no names shown after kill...

That way I can pretend every guy I shoot down is some high ranker like SHawk or Steve :D :D :D

You do realize how many people wouldn't play the game because of the immense challenges that would arise?

This game runs on funds. No funds, no game. And if you're going to make the game that much more difficult to play you might as well kiss your business good-bye.

until you get raked by 20's from a CHog, and see one of them on 200 ranting about how they owned your Fm2  :lol

Also how would you tell without icons that the incoming spitfire is a friend or foe?
Unlike the real world where ally planes were friendly and axis were foes (or vice versa), in here both types are flown by all countries AND there are no BISH/KNIT/ROOK markings on the planes.

Like I said earlier.......if it ain't broke don't fix it.

More than that...computer screens simply CAN'T render detail and depth to match the real world. Not while simultaneously giving you a good FOV for practical looking-about in a flight sim. If you had a massive monitor at unreal resolutions, AND had your zoom cranked up to max to look at a con 1K away, you MIGHT stand a chance of telling whether that is a "Spit" or a "109"...but this is impractical for obvious reasons. And when not in zoomed view, on a smaller monitor with less resolution, you probably couldn't tell at 400.

i can tell a 109 from a spit 1k out, its hard, and im only on a 14" screen i think. Im not saying everyone can do it, but im just saying that with the right eye, you can do it. however doing it just to tell the plane so you know wether or not to shoot is impractical, as you or hazard said. In the AvA its a different story, turn icons off and you can tell friend from foe, hopefully.

Perhaps the would-be crap flingers might spend their time either trying to figure out who that other airplane was (instead of going off on 200 about the other pilot)  Skyrock wouldn't, or realize it's just a game and quietly re-up and try again (for those who got killed) or quietly move on to the next engagement (for those who did the killing) Skyrock wouldn"t.

Too many people make this game too personal.
