Nice program looking program Murdr, where'd you get it?

It's one of Spatula's utilities, you can find it at his squad site.  It's pretty slick.  For instance at a glance I can say I have 27,396 MA kills, of which over 15,000 were from P-38 varients.

How about thinking about it from a differant perspective.......

How do you seem to find a "skilless dweeb" every time you log in?

Just as some only find the HO TArds?

Let's also not forget that the aircraft you fly has a huge effect on k/h.  The stat favors aircraft with big gas tanks and plenty of ammo.  When I fly the 109G-6 I almost always have to rtb because of fuel before I can expend all of the 200 cannon rounds.

Still, it seems no one is willing to disagree with me that 5 kd, 1 ks, and e.g. 2  kh is more effective than 1 kd, 1 ks and 5 kh, and this example contradicts the agreed upon formula.

The 109K-4 is a very difficult aircraft to have a high k/h with.  puujiiko, one of those crazy fins who flies almost nothing but the 109K-4, has a k/h of 8 with 172 kills, and that's about as effective as you can be in it.

I really don't look at k/h for effectiveness on the fly (partially because the in game numbers are not converted to kills per hour).  I do glance at k/d and number of sorties and kills when I want to know a little more about a player.  35 kills in 120 fighter sorties tells me that player has no business critisizing anyone about their flying on open channels.  By my 13th week in the game, I could at least figure out how to average 1 kill per sortie.  7 years later, I'm not inclined to be cordial with some know nothing blowhard.

Hi Murdr,

All I can say is, if this game really annoys you, don't play it, or accept what it is.
Take a break. Computer games are meant to be fun.
AFAIK ch. 200 is optional.

You're joking right?  The thread is titled "Haha".
It made for a good laugh.
Is in agreement, not a counter point.  Maybe a definition of the idiom in the OP would help:

Murdr that program is fantastic, cheers spatula! :aok

17,000 kills- more than a 1000 of them in a spit14   My highest number of kills is with the mossie with 4500 kills. :)  I'm not a massive stats fan but i find it interesting looking back at what and how i've flown,

I can tell you that getting a kill in every sortie in MW isn't as easy as it is in the LW arenas.  Sometimes, especially times other than mid to late evenings, you may only have 20 players on and you go chasing some con that is a good ways away never to catch up to them, or depending on your strategy at that time, you may bail and grab some bombers, gv, or another fighter for a jabo.  So, the k/d is a good determining factor even though mine is low as usual.

How do you seem to find a "skilless dweeb" every time you log in?

The arenas are full of minimally experienced players at any given time? :)  That's not really the question you wanted to ask.  You want me to ponder how is it that I find a "vocal mediocre player" when I log on?  I already presented the theory on that though.  The difference between the last 4-5 months and my average playing habits is that I am not making a regular presence in the MAs.  I don't elicit these kinds of comments when I am posting 10 victories landed messages throughout the tour, so the defining factor is that these loudmouth players that I shoot down only come to my attention because they are ignorant of myself as a player.

While I don't expect everyone to know every other player in the game, I find it funny that these guys can't be bothered to type .score to see who they are calling out before opening their trap.  I may come off as arrogant sometimes when I drop a line like "maybe when YOUR game tips pop-up on MY arena load screen" "instead of vice-versa I'll consider your advise" on 200, but it seems like a reasonable reply to someone with a 0.6 k/d telling a 6 k/d player how to fly :)

Not that stats tell all.  They do not, but there are relative indicators in the stats of the calibre of player a person is, and possibly what "style" of player they are.
