For those of us that were personally involved, be it in recovery efforts, security patrols, and most importantly those who lost loved ones, it is something we will never forget. :(

To this day, I turn off any show that has footage of it.  It pisses me off, and haunts me at the same time.

I get about two minutes into this video and I want blood...Radical Muslim blood.

I am getting ready to go out on a PGR mission right now. A retired Navy NCO is being laid to rest today. It's somehow fitting yet doubly sad.

I will forever have that Enya song, Only Time, associated with 9-11 because of a well done video clip.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

For those who lost their lives on this day seven years ago and for those who have gave the ultimate sacrifice since.

I don't think I could ever forget. I was just shocked by the horror of that day.
Add to that the ultimate impact that 9-11 eventually had on my family.
There's no way I'll ever forget, I'm reminded every time I look at my son.

RIP to all who perished that day.

May their loved ones be blessed with peace.

Salute to all who have fallen since, and to all those who stood back up.

I didn't know anyone who was killed that day, I was part of the Coast Guards response to New York and arrived the early evening of the 12th. Conducted 24/7 security/recovery ops 10 minutes after we arrived and sustained those ops for the next 45 days. I took supplies into ground zero for the recovery teams and watched bodies being removed from the pile. During what time I had off from work, I attended over a dozen funerals for firemen and police officers killed in the line of duty.

I was only doing my job, but if you were there and saw it all first hand, you can't forget, like I'll never forget.

I hate this day.
