rc joystick interface (for newbie)

Hi,
I'd like to be able to use my radio control Tx to control areoplanes in this Sim. I've got an interface and cable with calibration software that plugs into my joystick port - works with FS98 etc. Will it work with Aces high?
Cheers  Ger

LOL! I've never heard of this before.  What a neet idea.

If it works with FS98, then it should be able to work with AH.  Most of the functions are mapable, so there really shouldn't be a problem other than recognition (don't think this would be either).

The best way to find out is to download the game and play it off-line.

Good luck!

Geez! Now imagine you can kick on your rc-model engine while flying AH! Maybe fscott & AKWabitt sounds closer to the real thing, but if you manage to put the propeller in front of you....talk about immersion!

Cheers

As I posted last week, this is really the ultimate form of control for online games. You should check out http://www.knifeedge.com  sometime. Until, j/s's are better made...

I still haven't tested this here, but I really would like to get my Galaxy 8, or PCM 10 working with AH. Especially, if we could get enough fidelity in the controls to allow for the transmitter programming to come into play.

Any input, Pyro? (heh)

To answer my own post - yes it does work! My main problem is that I'm only using a cheap 4 channel Tx, so all the controls are used controlling the plane - WOT NO GUNS! A 6 channel Tx will at least let me configure 2 weapons without having to take on hand off the Tx. Thanks for the advice.   Ger
