Is it "change id" like from XYZ to ZYX, or just a better variant of the current one we have?

you could change yours to something like "IaDork" if you think it fits   

Its the same as calling HTC and asking for a new name, you loose perks and everything, but now its just automated.

From how it looks it's the same thing as if you emailed HTC to get it changed. They just automated it.
