dude, i don't give a f%$k if they drill in the lake in back of my house, and build a refinery right next to it. i want to be abe to keep affording to drive, and fly.

They can build one in my living room if they'll drop the price back under 2$ where it belongs.

I live in Martinsville, VA (next door to Danville), our gas is currently $3.82/gal but good luck getting in line. I just drove thru the area looking around and it's a mad house, every gas station is jammed packed with cars to the point that it's snarling traffic around them. I did see some signs stating that you could only buy 3-5 gallons and that they were out of regular. The news reported that tomorrow morning it'll be $6.00/gal here which is unheard of around these parts. Even during the summer gas only -just- peaked above $4 but most remained at $3.50ish.

Can you pump your own gas there yet? Or does the attendant still have to do it by law?

nope. but I have no real interest in being forced to pump my own gas.
I'd rather have the servant do it.
Especially on days like today when it was pouring rain.
I got to sit all comfy cozy and dry and let someone else do it.

Not only do we let servants pump gas for us.
But we typically get to pay less for gas then most of the country too.
So in reality. At least on that front we get more for less.

I admit there are rare occasions when I would just as soon pump it myself.
But really those days are rare.
Usually I pull up hand the guy my card. Tell him how much, then go inside and buy something to drink or a pack of smokes.
come back out, he hands me the card and a receipt and off I go.
Or I sit in the car and go over some paperwork.
No muss no fuss.

when i quote the pumps where my shop is, they're middle of the road on price...right now, 3.25. the 3.21 i quoted is around the corner from my house about 8 miles away.

where the hell do you live in NJ where a gas station 8 miles away you consider to be "around the corner" from your house?

LOL I can find a gas station in a mile or less damn near any direction I head from my house.

Havent checked the prices of gas today though

I was with my dad yesterday and we stoped to get gas, he started pumping and about 10 gallons in the pump slowed down, then stopped, but the tank wasn't full, so he went inside to ask the attendant, the attendant thought that our tank was just full, so my dad pulled the pump out of the tank and pull the handle, and nothing came out, so they said that the tanks must be empty then.

You know, I'd be angry if I had to legally let someone pump my gas...

If it were not for some of the best gas prices in the land.  It must drive those socialists crazy with the gas taxes so low.

I'd stand there and watch just to make sure they didn't screw up my car LOL.  I don't like people touching my car unless I know them.  What is the reason for that law Drediock?

well, here would be my problem if they made us pump our own here in nj......

99% of gas station attendents are indians. i think about 60-70% of them are on temp. work visas. i think the rest are quite possibly illegally here.
now all of these gus are suddenly out of work. trying to collect unemployment. bad thing.

besides, like dred said.......when it's pouring rain, i ain't gettin out of my car to pump.
