Used to live in Martinez.  I delivered furniture part time at the Grovetown Bargain center.

Gas seems steady here at $3.999.  It jumped thirty cents then stuck.

"At least 13 refineries in Texas shut down as Ike approached. Gulf Coast refineries and ports are the source of about 50 percent of the fuel and crude used in the eastern half of the U.S. Plants operated by Exxon Mobil Corp., Valero Energy Corp., ConocoPhillips and Royal Dutch Shell Plc were affected.

Gasoline shortages may occur across the southern U.S. up to Washington because of the closures caused by Hurricane Gustav and now Ike, Kevin Kolevar, assistant secretary for electricity delivery and energy reliability at the U.S. Department of Energy, said on a conference call yesterday"

this would be proof in favor of new drilling, new refineries, and alternative energy ALL being necessary.

You know, I'd be angry if I had to legally let someone pump my gas...

If it were not for some of the best gas prices in the land.  It must drive those socialists crazy with the gas taxes so low.
I'd be angry if I was forced to pump it myself.
I have little to no interest whatsoever in pumping my own gas

I do agree it shouldnt be a law though

Oh BTW. Went out today. Gas prices jumped 10 cents over yesterday to $3.49
One law we have here I do agree with though.
Legally gas stations are only allowed to change their prices once per day

I've been to WV. Though ths was quite a few years ago.
The trucks that deliver the gas should be charging y'all an extra $2 per gallon just for driving on some of those mountain roads.
Or at least "roads" is what they called them.
Suicide paths are more like it LOL

CNN has been carrying the story about the rise in gas prices in various areas. I doubt that any gouging will be tollerated in the investigations. Nice to see some folks are actually paying attention to the situation.
