Palin on Global Warming
« on: September 12, 2008, 10:43:36 PM »
"Do you still believe that global warming is not man made?" Gibson asked Palin.

"I believe that man's activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change. Here in Alaska, the only arctic state in our Union, of course, we see the effects of climate change more so than any other area with ice pack melting. Regardless though of the reason for climate change, whether it's entirely, wholly caused by man's activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet -- the warming and the cooling trends -- regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we gotta do something about it and we have to make sure that we're doing all we can to cut down on pollution."

======

Geeze...this is how I have felt about the issue for several years, drawn to this conclusion by my own reasoning and viewing all divergent points of view.  I am impressed, and we are the same age too!

And oh yeah....she has nice legs  :aok

yeah that was a good answer. it shows that she has actually studied the subject.

although we can help eliminate a little pollution. the earth will not stop its cooling and warming cycle.

WTFG palin.

i did a research paper about global warming. so i know a good bit about the subject myself.

Well at least she has a informed view on the subject which is a step in the right direction compared to the Bush admin.

Our environment here in the U.S. gets more pollution from scum dropping food wrappers out their car windows then anything that might cause global warming. This call to battle global warming is just a way to get Americans to foot the bill for a foreign problem (pollution) and even if successful the climate will continue to change.

But she does have nice legs but she is still nothing like an Anna Rawson.

The follow-up question should have started with a w - guess there wasn't one.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

If you mean 'why?', that's common sense.. Don't poop where you eat. Don't waste resources that could go into producing more of whatever.

Why would have been a start - what who when might have been good too.

For me that's a strike against her. She's now toeing the line with my vote. However, if she shuts down half of the government to stop pollution that would be great.

This was a good input.
Some points there:
1. There are 4 chinese (population) for every American, now the Chinese are passing, due to their numbers.
2. Who eventually is using the most of Chinese industrial productions?
3. Coal burn also contributes to global dimming (soot), which means short term coolness, then further CO2 effect.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I don't find her position satisfactory at all, but at least you can't deny climate change wholesale and still be on a presidential ticket.  It's time to stop debating this stuff and make plans for the future, e.g. a sea level rise of just one meter over a hundred years is a real possibility, and the cost of being wrong by doing something about it is far less than the cost of being wrong by doing nothing.

anax.. no one is denying global climate change..  the climate changed in just the last few hours.   It is warmer now than it was two hours ago here.

Not only that but.. I have yet to find one day in history that had exactly the same climate as any other..  sorta like snowflakes and fingerprints.. no two are the same.
