Not to put off or say "It ain't my fault you didn't print the maps"... But as CiC I should have kept my arse in the tower for 120 minutes to bettr coordinate the lost sheep.
...after we'd asked several times for an alternate target since none of us were in a position to pull up our orders (in the future I'll have them printed out and at my desk).
Not excusing our decision to go ahead and proceed against 4, but there was some confusion involved.
Now see... This is why I hate text purse fights. You can never judge what's going on behind the scenes with whomever you're talking with in game. Case in point are the following 7 screens from the FSO.

I had PM'd Sax about the target availability, while flying in a target rich environment, where I was the target attempting to lay some eggs. Actually managed to reply to his queries while in the swirl, only to get chewed on by someone esle as to why it took me soooo long to reply about the targets? C'mon guys, read the text buffers sometime.
So Saxxman, you're a great guy and all that, and I apologise for flying (despite the fact we were still outnumbered) when I was CIC. And I am truly sorry you didn't see my replies and alternate target choices for you.
Rest assured, should I ever be called upon again, I will not be flying the event... But I will bust the chops of any Squadron that deviates from the orders I send out, unless they get clearance to deviate from the CiC.
