I must be blind or something.  I've never even seen these people and I put in ~100 hours a month.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Yes, you must, HT, I suggest a simple answer to vulching second ranks...

Put in an IP tracker for admins/mods, track it, and if someone kills the same IP (or an IP equal to that of who's killing) x many times in a row...Main Arenas... warning/score reset... 2nd time, 1 week suspension/score reset for the rest of the tour, 3rd time, perma ban... and, er, score reset  :aok
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

That's a great idea Trigger.  :aok  HTC really needs to do something about the scoring system they have in place now. As it stands now, it in no way reflects anyones "skill" at anything but how well they can work the system.
I've spent countless hours trying to learn my planes of choice and spent alot of money on computer upgrades and gadgets just to improve my game play, just to see how I stack up against the best in the game on a level playing field. But, the fact is, this game is not a level playing field.
AH2 awards players for avoiding fights for the most part. I have 3 computers here. If I wanted to, I could set up 2 other accounts and vulch them all week and be ranked #1 by friday...if not sooner. HTC probably wouldn't mind because it's a extra 30 bucks a month for them, and I'd look like the greatest cartoon twit to ever come down the pike.
Meanwhile, the legit players are forced to accept it as just "part of the game" and come to realize that all that really matters is that one perfect dogfight that brought us to this game in the first place.
There's bad apples anywhere you go and AcesHigh is no different I'm sad to say. :salute

How would this effect the late night fights where you kill the same guy a few times legitimately ?

IP addresses. Mine is completely different then yours. My other 2 computers are within 1 number of each other. I assume everyone elses are the same way.

322 views, 39 replies in just over 3 hours....Appearently nobody cares :)

It is the same reason people rubber neck near/at car accidents; I'm convinced that the community is entertained by drama sometimes, than by the game itself.

And that's why I guess some players learned their lessons and started to kill their squaddie's shade... different IP's, hard to track

A  lot of posters in this thread are missing the main point of that whole shade killing story. With the split scores between arenas it's often not about scores or ranks at all. It's more often just done to get perks quickly and the cheap way. One gamey hour in EW or MW to fly 262's in LW for a day.

The sad thing is that's starting to get worse. At first it were just the usual suspects like sweet2th/autopilolt/toddnben/wheatever and Jr, but following the "they do it, so why shouldn't I?" one can occasionally see players doing such stuff you would never had expected to do it.

Fortunately, the myth "HTC doesn't care about it" is wrong. If you got some convincing evidence, skuzzy doesn't hesitate to ... take measures ;) (Of course, mere assumptions/rumors/bogus allegations are just being ignored)

Right now Jr is complaining on 200 about "only Ho dweebs and noobs" playing AH, pointing fingers at other players for their "sucky fighter rank" and proudly boasting that he once had fighter rank 20 in LW

 :rofl

hell, i could have a fighter rank of 20, if i did wat johnny jr does...vulch 2nd accounts just for the perks and rank....

NAME, NAME, NAME!

Am I the only one who doesn't give a flying crap who is lame enough to stroke their ego with a score page like this?

There is absolutely no point wasting time on attitudes like this.

The only reason that this sort of score padding matters is for taking control ov CVs and let's face it... Most of the better pilots and therefore the more challenging and interesting fights don't give a hoot about the real estate side of the game anyway.

Let the score padding dorks do their thing. If they're any sort of character they'll soon realise that they're wasting their time and no one cares about their score. I seem to recall a certain score padder who vulched a second account quite obviously and has turned out to be a respectful, contributing member of the AH community. His contribution to scenarios and whatnot are a testament to this particular person's character after being caught out and publicly humiliated.

Right on Arch :aok. The community is pretty tight here and are quick to lynch any lamers that go on with these crazy acts. Ive always thought the scoring system here was FUBAR and thought we should elliminate the top ranking pilots on the AH page. IMO..I think score should be somthing that should be looked at by the individual to see what he/she needs to work on rather than using it as a chest thumper to impress others in the community.
