P-47 vulching an FW 190A
« on: September 13, 2008, 11:04:47 PM »
Three sequential frames from the gun camera of a P-47 as it strafes a 190 as it taxis on its own airfield. Could the Jug get any lower or closer? I doubt it. The exact location is unknown, other than it was in Germany. I have a copy of the entire film. Was quite interesting.

Yow.

Teh HTC windmill is visible in the background - hackzorzz!!1!1!!!!111!!!
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

If that were in AH the 190A pilot would be firing his guns back at the 47. :P

I have dvd-box "Warbirds of WW2". There is story how allied flew so low that one pilot draws german soldiers head by his wing and brain pieces were spreaded all over his wing :O

I believe the out come was the Jug pilot trying to pull up too late, getting a collision message, and PM'd the 190 pilot how he was a ramming dweeb.  :lol

Out side of a wall of lead coming at him I doubt he can even see the jug over the top of his engine.
