Hi,

After playing the beta on and off line I have found the following.

Nice sim...I have been playing WB since it was called CK.

1. As someone mentioned (rather strongly) in another newsgroup...AH has no "easy" flight model options in additon to the realistic ones...I know its not much used in WB..but hey there is a need.

2. Mustang needs a slightly less jerky response in roll compared to the one I flew and have the video to prove it).

Still the mustang's real-life initial roll response is better than the Spit 9s.  I found the real Spit 9 to have a little play in the ailerons...none in the Mustang...a WW2 flight test I have states the same thing.

3.  The nose is way too small for real-life tactics visible in the windshield from the Stang and Spit I flew... in AH it is almost invisible.  It was quite a part of flying and siting on "targets" such as fishing boats and clouds.

4. No screen shake option at the stall for feedback...this is now standard for flight sims to help you fly...also the real Spit and Mustang would often shake quite sharply at accelerated stalls.

5. The nose does not go down when you lower the landing gear...shows some of the flight model is not modeled correctly for drag.

6. Snap rolls although modeled are very weak as when you snap roll in the wrong direction to the inputs you apply.

7. Real La-5 is meant to be ***unstable*** in the roll axis according to flight test reports...this would make its roll response jerky or close to it by being so responsive. now it is like the rest of the planes more or less...the Mustangs by comparison is artificially made positively stable.

8. I would like to see an option of having the ability to fly preplanned missions as in the old CK idea.  This would be an interesting new thing to do than just fly around shooting at furballs.

Overall, AH is Warbirds with an Air Warrior shell...not bad Pyro and HT!
