Looking for a trainer
« on: September 16, 2008, 05:12:13 PM »
Hello. I am looking for someone to help train me in the AH2 basics of dogfighting, bombing, and aircraft control.

I CAN fly aircraft. I can MOVE my crafts decently, but my aim i still a bit shoddy. I also don't know how to preform basic manuvers, and I seem to turn in my aircraft slowly, which is odd. I assume I need to lower my RPMs or something, but that will save for training. If anyone is willing add Ruoughrd to your AIM list and tell me, or post on here when. (EST -5 hours pls.)

Why not just make a visit to the training arena?

P.S. have you turned off the stall limiter?

Stall limiter?

Also, I did, and I was told to find a personal trainer, since I'm such a noob.

personal trainer

Not personal trainer, just to arrange a session if you can. If not, just go to TA as you did today, but chances are that you'll have to share trainer's time with others. Also, read a bit at http://trainers.hitechcreations.com Lots of useful info, from the game setup all the way to advanced stuff. If you're familiar with few basics then it'll be easier on you and trainers.

Stall limiter?

Once you log into game open clipboard -> Options -> Preference -> Flight -> check/uncheck stall limiter.
If enabled, (checked) it prevents your plane from stalling but also hinder max performance in some aspects (max AoA -> turn performance).

Just so you know, assuming 387091 is your ingame name, you're going to get a lot of grief for being a "zipcode". You'll want to change your name to something in the common lexicon of any language, so others can identify you.

You can also make your forum name anything you please. It doesn't have to match with your ingame name. It can, though. I would also recommend changing that as soon as possible for the same reason.

Other than that, you have the right attitude of coming to this game seeking to learn first. Best of luck.

387091 -

A lot of great information can be found here > http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/   There is a drop down menu on the left side of the page. Scroll to the bottom for the trainers roster and click on that link for the names of trainers and how to contact them.

Another good source of AH info files, including basic aircraft manuevers can be found at www.netaces.org.  Be patient, it's a slow learning curve. Welcome to the playground.

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Still mouse-bound. I am getting darn decent with it though, if I do say so myself.
