A short while back the 31st F.G. lost one of its members, Prop31st, who died at a relatively young age from a lung infection. We were pretty taken back and shaken by it and decided to hold a memorial flight in his honor with a "missing man" formation of 51s and a troop drop over Bish HQ.
An announcement was made here and although there was relatively short notice, the response from our community was huge, and actually somewhat surprising...many Bish squads and individuals took part, but also quite few Rook and Knight pilots and squads switched countries in order to participate! A show of respect an honor that we don't often see in this game. Even though we can hate, curse and hunt each other nightly, when the chips are down this community without hesitation put silly little differences aside and came together to honor a fallen brother. That says a lot for our group of dysfunctional flight sim junkies. Personally, I have gained a new level of respect for my countrymen and "enemies" that participated in this event. The 31st F.G. and I salute you all!
The video is compiled from films sent to me and I edited it down to only about 4 minutes. There are a few choppy parts that I just could not seem to fix and I apologize for that. ( btw, if anyone knows of a way to fix choppy scenes other than cutting them out, I would apprecite it for future reference.)
