There I was, flying med-alt above french countryside.. when all of the sudden I see a lone FW-190 below me flying level. Coming from the sun, I place myself to his low 6 and begin approaching him in his blind spot..
Just as I get in firing range, the 190 starts to flip-flop, moves in a weird angle for about half a mile (during which time I try to follow him) and all of the sudden warps behind me, guns blazing fire and smoke.
Obviously the darn kraut had been using his F3 external view to spot my attack!
I see plenty of tracers coming towards me, but I dont worry since they seem to overshoot me with a good distance and I start moving to a better position. About 10 seconds later, just as I'm sure I'll have him on a dish after hard vertical manouvering I start hearing pings and my plane obliterates into pieces even though the con is not even pointing to my direction.
I bail out to the ground, and to my disappointment find there - No, not french young resistance girls, but SHEEP.. SHEEP as far as I can see. I push the tower button in disgust and sigh as I'm yanked back to the tower, missing what could have been potentionally the adventure of my life.
Life may have been tough back in WW2, but if you look it the right way, it sure had some advantages also

Losing anyones life however is nothing to be laughed about of course. I myself lost a relative flying deep over russian territory. War is hell. Game is fun. But still, it can never come close to real life experiences.
Model French resistance girls to the ground!!!
