I'm sorry--that line was just plain idiotic.

Dude, I USED to think there was some sane logic in your posts...

You have gone off the deep end.

in 2006 McCain said to congress that fanny and freddy were in trouble and tried to get legislation to fix it but the democrats said there is no problem and did not act.

it is in the congressional record.

You think he made his staff read it
or did they read this first?

The Democrats didn't act? How so? Who exactly had control over what got voted on and what didn't in 2006?

If Big Business is backing McCain then that tells me all I need to know about who I should vote for, I'll vote for the other guy, i'm not big business, just a regular guy, Why would a regular person vote for someone who has big business as his main focus? I'll vote for someone who has the working man as his main focus anyday, don't much care if the person is a Democrat, Republican etc, Whoever has the normal working person as his main focus gets my vote.

I don't claim to be an expert in politics or anything like that, all I care about is how much of my paycheck comes my way and all the rest, I'm not some diehard fan of any party, I just like the guy who will stick up for me- the regular working guy, no more, no less.
all the Candidates will claim to be the best at this and that, we all know that, but whatever party it is, the guy (or gal) who has me and millions like me as their main focus deserves my vote.

I find it intriguing that the laughingstock of the Hilary campaign, worth billions, continues to call Obama "elitist".

Pretty sure this hurt your boy, just like it hurt Sen. Clinton when Madam Roethschild started talking.

Never seen it like that before, gives me food for thought, like I said, I in no way shape or form claim to an expert in Politics or any of that stuff, so thanks for putting it that way John, I just work hard for my paycheck and I want to keep as much of it as possible.

Something else to think about. Big companies do not pay taxes. The people who buy their products do. They pass the cost on to you.

Itunes.. another little point... if you work hard for your money and your employer is paying more in taxes, not only will your raises vanish... your job could vanish. Think about the dems stance on minimum wage and the open borders/immigration issue. Can an illegal do yer job? If so, if obama gets his way, your job will be done by somebody yer employer can pay less.. and the employer gets a tax credit for hiring a minority.

The backbone of this country and it's economy is small business... the guys that make taillight lenses and lug nuts. The burger shops. The plumbers, roofers, tradesmen and contractors. Your jobs depend on a healthy business with a minimum tax load. Change the tax environment small business operates in, you change the bottom line.. the number of employees, their benefits, their pay scale.

Think long and hard before you buy the rubbish both sides are putting in the air. If it's your paycheck, and your a working man... I'd vote republican. The dems want you socialized and marginalized. The Liberal Elite is not working class America.

Bronk hit on something you should think about as well iTunes.  That when we tax big companies, the big company just raises the price of the good or service and in the end, we (the common guys) pay the tax.  That is how that works.  The same thing goes for gasoline.  Regardless of the cost, the gas companies still make far less than does the government.  In some cases much, much less.

18.4 cents a gallon goes to the federal government
state to state taxes are different, some are fixed dollar amounts, others are percentages.  A few examples of different states are:
California  63.9 cents per gallon plus 6% Gross Sales Tax. 1.25% county tax. 1.2 cpg state UST fee. plus local sales tax.
Colorado (where I live) is 40.4 cents a gallon.  Already we are paying 58.8 cents a gallon in just tax.
New York 59.6 cents a gallon plus between 3.1 to 4.5% local county tax on gross sales receipt.
Texas 38.4 cents per gallon.

The average gas company makes between 4 and 9 cents a gallon that is sold.

Kind of interesting when you really look at the numbers and realize where all the money goes.

But Obama will also cut the taxes of 80% of working Americans thereby increasing disposable income and fuling the economy. He is also projected to have 1/2 the defecit McCain will build up based on a non-partisan link provided so kindly by Mr. Toad.

If they (big corp) cut jobs because of tax increases. What good is 80% less of nothing?
