No more LAN play?
« on: September 17, 2008, 03:56:31 PM »
I actually enjoyed using that with my son from time to time...  Why take that away?

Why take that away?

It has been abused (VPN, etc)...

We're looking at ways to implement that style of play into something that we can host on our servers.

Since 8Player has been disabled, I'd like to see not only T34 & Tiger, but the other tanks sitting on base too in offline mode.
I used the 8player mode for practice & testing, particularly anti-tank gunnery. Would have loved to test the new Il2 37mm option vs the various GVs :(

Thank heavens for that.  :aok

In the meantime I'll keep 2124 for when the kids come over to plink each other in tanks, and for testing terrains without the target drone noise.
Easy in-game again.

Sweet.
I'm still not trashing the old version just yet, you never know when  you might want to do a little LAN play when visitors drop in from overseas ;) :aok
