On the Field/Naval Gunners....

I'd like to see individual gun positions from above, at least the manned ones. And, if I kill one of them and it is actually manned, I would like to get the kill message, like when you down a buff.

Dunno if It is hard or not to program, but I would definitely like it. As a second best, when you kill a CV or CA, have credited kills for all people manning guns at that moment.

Cheers,

Pepe

I would like to see range finder info for the ship gunners vs fleet actions.

If gunners can be killed, ie affect the gunners points, then there needs to be an adjustment of how many points a gunner gets for a kill. One point each is a pretty measly return for the time you spend defending a fleet.

NO WAY

i dont want guners earning perk points. its not flying or driving, its dweebery IMO. manning those damn 5 inch guns slaughtering the waves of torpedo bombers with proximity fuses?'

Hitech is spot on now, mabye if you wanna give perk points for surface action, but aaa should yield little points.

No zig, I have never seen a 40 kill sortie for fleet defense. Now with the sinking of the ccv or any other manned boat any streak by any gunner is automatically terminated. You can't go to a rearm pad and get reset like any plane in the game. Perhaps we need to eliminate the multiple kill streaks for planes. If you use all your ammo then you have to replane and start over. If you bomb a runway as a squad comes up you get only one kill instead of one for every plane that artificially spawned in the same spot. Sounds fair to me.

Per very short conversation online with HT. There are no plans to set any type of range finding feature for ship to ship gunery. Only planes will have icons for direct fire. Since no icons or range finding will be implemented surface to surface gunnery will remain a guestimate or point blank operation for the indirect fire weapons. This will maintain a level of "skill".

Those wanting to concentrate more on the naval portion of the game will only have range for direct fire weapons for pt vs pt action. PT vs fleet actions will still be treated as a guestimate for torpedo attacks.
