It has just come to light that we have loaned 82 billion dollars to Banks for liquidity.....and AIG has recieved 25 Billion already.
My question....concerning Fannie and Freddie. Where was Congress? Where was Barney Frank chairman of the Senate Banking Committee?
It leads me to think someone or someones in Congress were reaping some profits from Financial Institutions that were passing out shaky loans and selling these loans to other financial institutions. This bascially has come down to simple matter of greed and the "I want Sum" syndrome.
Let's get while the gettin' is good!
Methinks we are to blame also for putting up with the crap that has been going on in US Politics for quite awhile. We tend to look the other way when things are going well for us. Frankly...we just don't pay attention. We get fed over the airwaves Vote Lib, Vote Dem, Republican, Democrat, whatever your favorite party. Meanwhile why we are lapping that up some are doing a fancy dance routine behind our backs that we will not notice.
It's about time we keep a better eye on what our Govt. is doing for us! We don't elect our Officials to represent Special Interest Groups or Businesses. We elect them to represent us. I really can't think of anything worthwhile in the last 20 years that has been done by our Govt. to help all of us.
Energy Problems
Taxes
Banking Crisis
Hurrican Katrina
Health Care
I don't want a Socialist govt. I want a Government that operates on the premise that those who are elected to Office to represent their constituents will do so. Represent their Constituents, not represent themselves and their views. And not be effected by Lobbyists and special interest groups. They represent their constituents and should vote as their constituents see fit.
How much longer should we suffer this? It's our fault also. We elect the bastards.
Oh and btw.....Fox News just reported that #2 on the fannie Mae donation list was (drum roll please))))))))))))))))))) Barrack Obama
Yup.....he received the 2nd largest Donation from Fannie Mae...and he only being a Senator for 4 years. Makes ya wonder don't it?
