Typhoon was my favorite air-race prop fighter. The poor roll rate at speed make turn entry's pretty fun...

The Typhoon is a great looking plane. Mean and aggressive looking like the FW-190.
They both look like war planes.
In my opinion the Spitfire is one of the dorkiest looking aircraft ever made, just slightly dorkier looking than the 109.  :D

Its fast and good for BnZ and has plenty of firepower but the only thing bad is the poor roll rate

There's a difference between 'aggressive' and 'smurfy'.
The 109 is 'aggressive'.


The Fw 190 is 'aggressive'.


The Spitfire is 'sexy'.



The Typhoon fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Sorry Bubi I can only agree with you on the FW-190.

If aircraft were people the 109 would be Boy George and the Spitfire would be David Bowie.  :D

There's a great book "The Big Show" written by Pierre Closterman - he flew Spits, Typhoons and Tempests - out of print but worth seaching for
