Perk Bombers?

Honestly the idea of Perk bombers as a parallel to perk fighters or tanks is a bit of a stretch to me. The Ardo is a good example. In what way is this supperior to a B26? No target that it can kill is worth the sortie, if the kind of airsupperiority that dictated its introduction exists in AH people just log.
There are few planes that accomplish much more. The B29 of course. But other than that what is a perk bomber?
Here are some ideas about benifits that a bomber might get as a perk instead of access to a better plane.
Armements.
The Grand Slam, Tall Boy, cluster bombs, anti ship missle, window, air launch v1s?

Exotic versions
The xb40 comes to mind.

I guess most of the problem is that compared to most of what the war was fought with, the B26 and the B17G and the Lanc are allready perk planes.
Other then the B29 you pretty much have to go to prototypes to get any improvement. The Ardo is just novel in my opinion and not unballanceing in any way.
Maybe the Perk fighters will make the perk bombers worth while. Fighters that pack 4 hispanos and can be flying  450 mph at 32k 7 minites after take off will definatly make a case for the Ardo.
I think window would be a very cool load out. drop a red dot on the enemys dar and or increase their dar bar for that sector...

I see the arado as more of a strike aircraft, say you are trying to take a field and its almost down but there are a few vehicles, the Arado with its speed could quickly be on site to clear up the targets and head home.  I think it would better used in that way insted of trying to drop large fields with it.

It sounds like you think of the ardo as a fast jabo..I dont think it is near robust enough for that. But either way it would be a drag to use your perk points for emergancy jabo missions.

The speed of the A-234 is what makes it perkable.  Most fighter's climb to engage a buff only after a teammate calls it out.  The A-234 will be back in the garage before the fighters get there.  Plus, you get that secret agent feeling when you fly it, knowing that everybody is out to get you.  Kind of cool  

The B-29, on the other hand, scares me.  It's defense will eat interceptors for breakfast, it's fast, and it has a huge bomb load.

The reasons the Arado was chosen to be perked is probably because the B-29 would be so unbalancing to the arena. As mentioned before, it's fast, has massive armament and carries a massive bombload. The Arado is fast enough that you won't catch it in basically anything unless you have an alt advantage and can make your first shots count - in level flight with full bombload it goes 410 mph.

I dont think the Arado will be very useful against large targets, it will prolly be better used to come in and tak out specific targets (vehicles and such) you couls use it like the other bombers but i think that would play away from its strong points.

How could you take a vehicle out in a jet bomber? You are just asking to be shot to hell. To hit a moving GV, you need to be low and slow enough to make final lineup as the GV moves.

In the Arado, if you go low and get slow, you are going to die. I doubt many would risk a perk plane for that purpose.

I see the Arado being best used in Senarios and planned missions in the MA. Send a couple out to airfields closest to the intened capture field. Have them bomb fuel supplies and come home. Then the main strike group flies to target against less defenders in low fuel A/C..

midnight, you dont have to be either low or slow to hit Ground vehicles or CV's, you come in so fast on a CV that by the time it know yer there yer bombs are away and they have no room to manuever.  ground vehicles all ya got to do is stay about 1.5k off the ground and drop a 1k bomb near them, at that speed its hard for ANYTHING to hit you, much less a m-16 or a osti.

I think the Arado would be a very cool upgrade perk plane.  I don't think it would be used to take out large fields but like someone mentioned it's a fast attack plane that could get over the target quickly as needed.  AND, there's a certain "perk" of immunity knowing that you're the "fastest horse in the stable"  Ya gotta like that :-)

 picture the following scenario for the Arado.

Youve got 3 players moving to capture a  V-Base an osti, a m-16 and of course the m-3 with troops, but as your troops near the V-base that was SUPPOSED to be destroyed they notice the hangar has come up and there is a ostwind babysitting it  over the radio  you see " need osti and VH at Vxx taken out QUICK!"  you launch in your Arado and go get about 4k of alt about 20k from the target(s) you drop to 1200 feet and are moving at ungodly speed.  You come ripping over the V-base before the osti even knows your there you have dropped 2 1k eggs he gets off 2 wild shots before he and his base are vaporized, you do a slow ugly victory roll and head home and rearm and wait for your next strike mission to be called.

ok ok ok, how about this one.  It is dawn. You and 5 of your buds take off together (that's if you can get 5 other guys to pony up perk pts for this baby).  You level out at about 15k. Target for the mission, the nme HQ deep in nme territory.  No escort asked for, none needed.  You and your wingmates are screaming along in eschelon formation at 400+ mph with a full load. About 10 miles from the target you push over into a shallow dive, peg her at 500+ mph and scream over it dropping your eggs on target.  Pulling up gaining altitude you do a wingover and head for home.  It's like a ballet of destruction.  <sigh> Sorta brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it :-)

What about using perk planes to reach the perk bombers?  When the perks are released, the other perk planes would probably balance it out if enough there are enough perk drivers.

Spitlead. That is about the only use I see for the thing other then spoting buff formations forming up and directing fighters too them.

What about radar suppresion?. Using the same technique, a single Arado could blow away quite a lot of radar stations in a row. Then send a single Lancaster to each small radarless airfield, a couple to each big one. If you ellaborate a bit more, and you have city flattened or heavily damaged prior the Arado ride, you will have your enemy nicely blinded for quite a long time, without hitting HQ (which is normally a time and plane consuming move). Now If we can get rid of sector bars...
