Got it working... had to setup a config file in the SGU application for Matrox, was very simple...   Found out a few things too.

Put in an BFG 8800GTS as an upgrade over my 6800 as I needed a dual link DVI source, and im running details to the max, pegged at 60fps at 3840x1024 with 1024 textures... I thought I'd need a puter upgrade but my old Fx53 with 2 gigs of ram is handling it better than before the matrox and video card upgrade. :aok

Did you get any sleep Whiskey?  You need to fiddle with the AH video setting Point of view selections.. Ive found either widescreen or the 90 degree works well...you can use the" custom" and go even wider..but it tends to fisheye the side monitors.

Also, I highly recommend Track IR with the setup if you dont already have it.

Just played offline in 5040x1050... looks very nice... decent frames also..

I too am sitting close to the front of the cockpit.  I dont know if this has something with the fact that they dont have an AH profile to use yet, and Im utilizing the config file I setup? Or if this is where we are supposed to "sit". It is most definitely different seat position than it is out of Matrox.

Skuzzy...is there supposed to be a profile..or can you kindly cut and paste the one you used to make the website screenshots?

I am unable to get the 5040x1050 res.  I have a 9800GX and I can only go up to 3840 x 1024 res.  I tried the custom 140 but my planes control panel/cockpit was scrunched down a bit...

Balsy, could you post a step-by-step instruction on how to setup the SGU application for Matrox?  Not so simple on my end.

I think Waffle also ran into problems trying to get the 5xxxx1050 resolution using the same video card.  It was unstable.  I think he had to cut it back to the next lower resolution to get it stable.

I say "think" as I do not have the details.

Yah it became unstable after awhile ..but I have to say it looked the best of the resolutions in regards to aspect ratio.. Im back down to 3840x 1024 now.

When can we expect a profile from Matrox??

In the SGU open a new file, delete the default stuff.and then cut and paste this into it and save it as your Aces High profile.... then select the right res in AH.
