 I just bought a new Nvidia based card (AUSUS EN9600GT - Geforce 9600GT) and was wondering if the River Tuner would help get the most out the card's performence. Not much of an expert when it comes to computers, is it fairly easy to use? Should I bother?  :rolleyes:  :confused:

I used it to try and save my 7900GT.   I then downloaded it again to see what the fan speed was on my new 8800GTS KO.   

It is a great program.   nTune is a crap program, don't use it.   Just use Riva in moderation.

Another great program that I was recently introduced to by a friend is eVGA Precision

While RivaTuner is more complex and adjustable, eVGA Precision allows you to view a graph for your clocks, fan speed, and temperature all in one window.  But either one works well for GeForce cards.

I have an eVGA card and use this utility and I love it but I didnt know if it would work with cards by other manufacturers?

I have Riva Tuner installed.  The only thing I use it for is to control my video card fan speed.

Thats why I downloaded the eVGA Precision utility also. The card(s) fans were running at 30% and getting a little hot so I gave it a little bump and everything stays cool.

use your software that came with your card in your nvidea control panel. Overclocking can be done there
