498th BS B-25H
« on: September 24, 2008, 08:37:11 AM »
Lyric1 kindly supplied me the info for this B-25H of the 498th BS, 345th BG. The 498th didn't like the H much for both operational and maintenance reasons so they got rid of them after only a couple of months. Because of this I've toned down the weathering a bit compared to my other B-25H skins.

The photo below shows a narrow black band behind the yellow beak, not a wide green band like in the profile. Its possible the profile is taken from a later photo I don't have, or the artist got it wrong. I've gone for the scheme as shown in the photo.

The skin is up at http://www.ah-skins.com/ if you want to take a closer look.

Thank you much sir.

Great skin Greebo as usual. If I may offer one point though, on the profile the mouth section it is bare skin & the actual photo of Cherokee Princess you can't see if it is or not painted. With these photo's of other b25H's from this squadron they all appear to be black in the open mouthed section. I am inclined to think that like most of the other variants of the B25's from this squadron it could & most likely should be black.

That's an easy enough change to make Lyric1. I think it looks better in black myself.
