http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/TV_Preview_62/Knight_Rider_one_car_crash_dummy.asp

Series movie had a Ford GT500KR, pretty much straight up stock. It used CGI to turn into a plain Mustang GT, but little else.

Tonight's premiere shows the crew in Hollywood decided to get the most Pep Boys stupid 20" rims they could find, an asinine airdam body kit with fake rivets, more headlight stripes (probably hockey stick tape), and they went to the warehouse to get some stuff even Death Race 2000 thought was too ultra melon to use, such as a hood scoop you would be ashamed to see on a Hot Wheels diecast. Then, they found an old Toyota Supra rear wing to slap on it.

In the preview clip, it races a Lamborghini LP640. It wins, probably.

It takes Hollywood money to make the worst aftermarket Mustang out there. But congratulations knight rider tech crew! You managed to assemble a Ford that would make Steve Saleen blush. Carrol Shelby might like it, or say that he did, if you gave him a few bucks.

hadnt seen it, wasnt really planning on it, I did notice in the commercials though it looked like they used the leftover CGI effects from Transformers and turn KITT into a truck

Had some of my co-workers see this one at Oshkosh.  Wihs I could have seen it.  From what I have read in other magazines, is it was syliized after the P-51 for the Gathering of Eagles and then auctioned at Oshkosh.  Sweet looking ride.  Much better than what I have seen in the commercials for Knight Rider.
